The Doctor Who Finale (Updated)

Updated with a new video! Even more Doctor Who goodness

Yup, another series has nearly zipped past and we are preparing for the annual 6 month agony of waiting for the Christmas Special.

I've had a lot on the last few days with deadlines, meaning I haven't been able to complete some of the many posts I hoped to have up by this weekend. In the meantime, and to keep some of you happy, here are a couple of trailers for the first part of the huge Series 4 finale. The first is the 'next week' trailer that accompanied the end title of 'Turn Left'. The second debuted in BBC One on Sunday.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT view these trailers if you haven't seen Series 4 up to episode 11 and are avoiding spoilers, especially if you live in Australia (The Australian release for Series 4 is mid July, so these episodes will appear on the ABC in October). I'm not going to get blamed because you can't resist a quick peak and then realise you've just taken some of the surprises out. You have been warned.

'Next Week' Trailer from 'Turn Left'

Is it just me, or is Donna becoming the strongest companion yet? The sad truth is that Catherine Tate is probably only signed on for this series, meaning she'll most likely be leaving the TARDIS soon. We were lucky to get the incredibly busy comedienne for a whole season but now I just wish we could have her on board forever. Here's hoping the producers were able to convince her to stay for the long haul - although portents in the series aren't looking good.

So much crammed into two episodes, and there is a lot more to come not shown in the trailer. I'm hoping they haven't over-egged the pudding and lost the story in amongst all the comings and goings, especially if it means another Deus Ex Machina ending like the last 3 series'.

Who am I kidding - it'll be brilliant whatever happens.

Finally, a bunch of photos released to promote episode 12 - 'The Stolen Earth'. Rather than post them up, I've left them as links, giving you the choice whether to view them or not, as they do contain some spoilers

Seven days seems far too long to wait.
