Only a Fool Would Miss CopyWrite This April!
April sees some new features come to CopyWrite, providing more of what you are looking for!
Three Reasons to Read CopyWrite This April
The most popular article to date on this blog has been How to Write a Value Proposition, explaining the concepts behind this often misunderstood marketing device. More than a slogan and essential to converting more customers, a value proposition is the cornerstone of any serious marketing strategy.
In recognition of the demand this article has received, a new weekly series in five parts starts this April. ‘Writing the Value Proposition’ will cover the five stages I recently went through in crafting a fresh, new value proposition for Netregistry.
Also, this April CopyWrite launches the Sunday Scribbler series, showcasing my writing heroes from all disciplines; comics, movies, novels, copywriting, television, wherever pen touches paper. Although the predictable heroes will definitely get a look in, I hope to also profile some of those lesser-known writers and drive more people to their work. The very first Sunday Scribbler profile will be Paul Cornell, novelist, television and comic scriptwriter, and will appear this Sunday, April 6th.
If that wasn’t enough, April sees the start of another weekly five part series. I love that I get to write for a living. From 9 to 5 every day, I get to tap keys and receive money in the bank for my trouble. It is a concept I thought would never happen, but now it has, I want to share my observations with you.
‘The Professional Writer’ will not be looking specifically at the craft of writing. There are no tips on grammar, character construction or script formatting here. Instead, five weekly articles look at the other skills a professional writer needs in today’s world of business. From self publicity and personal presentation to understanding the bottom line and dealing with clients, ‘The Professional Writer’ considers those issues often overlooked by the budding amateur. These days, creativity is only a very small part of the process and professionalism means more than sending a bill with your writing.
